Production has officially commenced on the new science fiction series, Travelers,

filming on location in Vancouver.

The series is created, written, and produced by Brad Wright,

the co-creator of Stargate SG-1.

It follows a team from a devastated future

whose consciousnesses are sent back into the bodies of 21st-century individuals.

Their mission is to alter the past to save humanity.

The ensemble cast is led by Eric McCormack,

who plays FBI Special Agent Grant MacLaren, the team's leader.

Other key cast members include Mackenzie Porter, Jared Abrahamson,

Nesta Cooper, Reilly Dolman, and Patrick Gilmore.

The series will premiere on Netflix globally later this year,

outside of Canada, where it will debut on Showcase.

McCormack expressed enthusiasm for Wright's complex story and rich characters,

while Wright highlighted the show's development with Canadian writers.

Directors for the season include Nick Hurran, Andy Mikita,

and Amanda Tapping, among others.
